Golgotha

Pictures From Israel (Circa May 2005)

The caption underneath each picture describes the scene.

Pictures on Pages 2-6 will load slower as they are double the quality of Page 1

GOLGATHA

If you will look closely you will see the nose and eyes of the "Place of the Skull"

This picture is of a tomb representing the kind of burial place that Christ would have been laid in. This is the main chamber.

This is the burial room the body would have been placed in.

This is another view (with the camera protruding through the bars)

This is a place where people washed their feet. If you will notice the ridge of rock at the top of the page, this is the outer edge of the track the stone would have rolled in to block the entrance of the tomb.

This is a picture of the track

This is the air vent at the top of the tomb. Why you would want an air vent is beyond me!!!

Psalms 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

The Garden Tomb area is very beautiful, we do not have the funds to show but a fraction of the pictures taken while there.

We have more pictures than we will be able to put on the site with our current budget constraints. If you copy the picture to your computer, you will be able to blow them up considerably as they were taken with a 7.1 megapixel camera.

All pictures were taken by Pastor William Johnson, and all copyrights belong to him. These pictures may be freely copied and distributed as long as they are not sold for profit, and the pictures are attributed to Pastor Johnson.
