An Apostolic Fellowship
The Tabernacle of Prayer is an Independent Apostolic Fellowship which was established in April of 2007 in Bakersfield, California. The doors of the church will open for regular, fulltime services on October 17, 2008 which is the first Sunday after Easter, in the meantime, it will be an online resource for those seeking Christ. We are currently in the process of raising funds for the first year of operation so only limited funds will be available for the website in this pre-opening stage. As a result, there will only be a small amount of bible study material, and few, if any preaching MP3's available until the church is financially secure.
Pastor Johnson has been a Minister since 1992, and has preached for several years before that time. He brings to the table: vision, anointing, experience, and a love for souls.
If you are not currently going to church somewhere, or are new in town. Please pray and ask God if this is the church where He would like you to serve.
You may notice we said serve, instead of attend. We firmly believe that sheep beget sheep. We are all called to be witnesses for God, and we are witnesses by our words and our deeds. We would truly hope that you have a love for God, and His word in your heart. If you do, you will also have a desire to win souls for Him. We would dearly love to equip you for soul winning.
If you are not currently serving God, we would love to show you in the bible what God has done for you. How He sent His son Jesus Christ (God manifest in the flesh...1Timothy 3:16) to live a sinless life when no man could. How Jesus died the most horrible death that man could devise at the time, death on the cross by crucifixion. Then He rose again that we may have newness of life, and be free of our sin nature. Please come and let us lead you into a saving "relationship" with God!
