The picture is of the Eastern Gate entrance to the old city (Jerusalem) circa May 2005. This is the gate through which Christ will return to establish his Kingdom on the Earth. Notice the graveyard which the Muslims have placed there in order to "prevent" Jesus Christ the eternal high priest from entering in through this gate lest he be "defiled" by dead bodies.

Welcome to our site! Tabernacle of Prayer is a new church in Bakersfield, California. We are located at 7440 District Blvd, Suite C, Bakersfield, CA. 93313. Our service times are: Sunday Morning Worship Service: 10:00 A.M. Sunday Evening: 6:00 P.M. and Wednesday Evening Bible Study: 7:00 P.M.. Our phone numbers are 661.342.1467, and 661.477.1146....

We are moved into our new business suite in the Burlington Business Park, just a few doors to the west of our old Suite. We now have our name up on the new location, and we also have a sign out at the street during the daylight services.

Our Sunday Morning Service consists of an Adult Sunday School class that in which we are teaching a "10,000" foot overview of the entire bible (which will take several weeks). This is followed by a Worship Service/Sermon... As we grow and add children, we will have children's Sunday School classes as well. We do have a nursery for those with babies and/or very young children.

In our Sunday Evening service, we are starting our "Endtime" series again the first Sunday night after Easter. So if it appears the lights are out, try the door anyway as the lights in the sanctuary may be out to enhance clarity on the screen.

Our Wednesday Evening Bible Study is currently on church history. This class will take you from the days of the Apostles to the modern day. Through this class we will attempt to show you where the different major denominations and their doctrines have come from.

Be sure to check our "Updates" page regularly to keep up with current events which pertain to our church schedule and bible study subjects. We will of course let the Holy Ghost have His way in our services and gladly give God the liberty to change, at a moments notice, what we may have planned in advance.
